L-KOPIA performed, among many other projects in September, a clearance survey for Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad. We measured approximately 150 miles of track from Michigan City, Indiana to Illinois border. The line has caternary and we took about 5,000 cross sections that will be used for minimum composites. L-KOPIA will deliver PDF plots with plates selected by CSS&SB RR.
L-KOPIA’s second crew is out west, right now in Wyoming on their way to Washington State. Furthermore, L-KOPIA just received an order for a new LD Clearance Laser System from Canada. We will be back with more details. |
LKO is performing a special load survey for Swedish Rail (Trafikverket) to verify improvements on the “Transformer Line”, a special route for large transformers from ABB.
Since our last survey, Swedish Rail has improved many tight spots on the 150 kilometer long line. The improvements includes; moving signals, having the caternary wire higher and even the removal of one overhead bridge. LKO is also going to northern Norway for JBV next week. We will be back with more info. Finally, The NORDIC RAIL show in JÖNKÖPING is next week. Please visit us between October 4th to 6th to check out our “new” laser survey vehicle. |
